This design studio focuses on studies of urban design and building form that address the multiple links between the spatial structure, the urban pattern (street pattern, block pattern, plot pattern, mass-plan pattern), the urban fabric (urban landscape, urban architecture), the use pattern, and socio-cultural meaning. The primary emphasis is on the analysis and design of an urban site, as well as the further comprehension of issues of context, urban typology, urban morphology and urban design methodologies that utilize computer simulation techniques- selected urban and architectural design projects.
