Faculty Description:
The Civil Engineering Program established in 2009, is offered by The Engineering and Materials Science Faculty, with currently 10 full time faculty members. The Civil Engineering Program first graduating class of students is expected by the end of the academic year 2014/2015.
Vision:
To participate in delineating and advancing research in Civil Engineering; addressing national, regional and global challenges of the new millennium.
Mission:
Provide innovative designs, progressive management techniques and technological solutions for construction methods of engineering structures and physical infrastructures that contribute to society sustainability, enhance quality of life and induce community growth; at national, regional and global levels.
Program Scope:
Continually work on involving and engaging current and future faculty members joining the Program in integrative and collaborative research activities, with focus on society outreach. Increase the range, and impact of research activities, and improve the Program visibility within academic and professional communities.
