Description

  1. Service Characterization Types of services, network requirements, service definition, quality-of-service (QoS), service provisioning
  2. Services in Telecommunication Networks Voice telephony, audio and video services, Intelligent Network (IN) services
  3. Services in the Internet Mail, file transfer, web and http, web-services, overlay networks and file sharing, voice-over- IP and multimedia services. Mobile Internet services (MIP, cellular IP, hierarchical MIP)
  4. Mobile Network Services SMS, MMS, voice, data, multimedia, mobility support. Service continuity (horizontal / vertical handover)
  5. Protocol Support for Multimedia Services in the Internet H.323 Protocol Suite, Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)
  6. Location and Context Based Services Location information (GPS, triangulation, map matching), geocast communication, navigation support
  7. Ambient Intelligence Bluetooth and IR networks, Ad Hoc networks, sensor networks, ubiquitious computing, nomadic communication
