  2. Router Technology Packet switching concepts, routing protocols, label switching, Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), lable distribution protocol
  3. Service Differentiation IntServ and RSVP, DiffServ, packet filtering and classification, traffic access control and policing, traffic aggregation and service level agreements (SLA), traffic scheduling
  4. Hierarchical Concepts IP over ATM, IP over WDM. Linux operating system and Kernel programming, socket and stub techniques
  5. Network Convergence The „hourglass“ model; IP over any network technology, any service over IP
  6. Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) SIP concept, Voice over IP with SIP, multimedia services
  7. Mobility Concepts for the Internet Mobile IP, cellular IP, HAWAII, hierarchical mobile IP
