The German University in Cairo invites applications for vacancies to be filled effective September 2025.

The Faculty of Information Engineering and Technology at the German University in Cairo (GUC) is seeking highly qualified candidates for a faculty position in Electronics. The ideal candidate should have a strong research background in sensors and analog electronics, with expertise in areas such as analog circuit design, sensor interfacing, mixed-signal systems, and embedded electronics.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in electronics, sensors, and circuit design.
• Supervise undergraduate, master's, and PhD students.
• Engage in research collaborations with industry and academic institutions.
• Contribute to curriculum development and the advancement of the department.
• Secure research funding through grants and industry partnerships.
• Participate in university service and administrative duties.


Qualifications:

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field, with a focus on sensors and analog electronics.
• Strong research track record with publications in top-tier journals and conferences.
• Experience in analog circuit design, sensor integration, and mixed-signal systems.
• Knowledge of low-power electronics, MEMS sensors, or biomedical sensors is a plus.
• Teaching experience at the university level is preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
