The German University in Cairo Signs a Strategic Memorandum of Cooperation with the Arab Parliament to Enhance Academic and Professional Programs

 

The German University in Cairo has signed a strategic memorandum of cooperation with the Arab Parliament, aiming to strengthen academic and professional collaboration and open new horizons for the university's students in legislative and diplomatic fields.

 

The agreement was signed at the university's headquarters in the presence of official representatives from both sides, led by Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi, President of the Arab Parliament, and Counselor Kamel Mohamed Farid Shaarawy, Secretary-General of the Parliament, along with Dr. Kareem El-Sayed Abdel Razek, Director of the Parliamentary Diplomacy Center, and a number of members of the parliament and faculty members. From the university side, the attendees were welcomed by Dr. Ashraf Mansour, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, Dr. Yasser Hegazy, President of the University, and Counselor Gamal Neda, Board Member and Former President of the Egyptian State Council.

 

In his welcoming speech, Dr. Ashraf Mansour emphasized the importance of this step, confirming that the signing of the cooperation memorandum is an extension of the university's vision to integrate academic education with practical experience. He added that the university is focused on preparing a generation of youth capable of taking responsibility and actively participating in community development at the local, Arab, and international levels.

 

For his part, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi praised the role played by the German University in Cairo as an outstanding educational institution, commending its prestigious position in the region and the quality of education and scientific research it offers, which meets global standards and elevates the aspirations of Arab youth.

 

This agreement is part of the university's continuous expansion of its relationships with Arab and international institutions, enhancing opportunities for students and graduates to engage in diverse work environments and supporting the development of their skills in legislation, public policy, and diplomacy. Additionally, it aims to expand the scope of research and cultural cooperation.
