Celebrating the GUC Class of 2025

The German University in Cairo (GUC) proudly celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2025 from the faculties of Management Technology, Applied Sciences & Arts, Pharmacy, Law, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Information Engineering & Technology, Media Engineering & Technology and Engineering & Materials Science.

Held over three inspiring days — October 9th, 10th and 11th, 2025, at the GUC — the ceremony marked a defining milestone in our graduates’ journeys of growth, innovation, and impact.

 

Prof. Dr. Ashraf Mansour, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at GUC and Chairman of the Board of Trustees at GIU and Prof. Dr. Yasser Hegazy, President of the German University in Cairo warmly welcomed the distinguished guests and congratulated the graduates on their outstanding achievements.

We were deeply honored by the presence of distinguished guests as:

  • Dr. Tina Weber, Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space
  • Mr. Norbert Knopf, Member of the BW State Parliament
  • Mr. Christoph Höh, Member of the State Parliament of Baden-Württemberg
  • Mr. Daniel Sander, CEO Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Engineers
  • Dr. Ulrich Zuern, Partner at Dr. Horn Economic Consultancy - Chartered Accountant

Our distinguished Board of Trustees members, university council members comprising of founding deans, GUC faculty deans and cooperation partners from the founding universities of Ulm, Stuttgart, Tuebingen were present along with the following esteemed guests who shared their words of wisdom and encouragement with our graduates:

  • H.E. Ambassador Jürgen Schulz - Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Egypt & Member of GUC Board of Trustees
  • Dr. Muriel Kim Helbig - Vice President of the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service)
  • Prof. Dr. Ali El-Ghamrawy - Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority
  • Prof. Dr. Peter Middendorf - President of the University of Stuttgart

 

Their presence underscored the strong partnership between Egypt and Germany, and the shared vision of empowering youth to lead with knowledge, creativity, and purpose.
