The Africa and Arab Collegiate Programming Championship (ACPC) is a qualifying round for the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC). ACPC is organized in the same spirit and is governed by all applicable rules of the ICPC. Winners of an ACPC contest qualify to the ICPC World Finals.

The German University in Cairo (GUC) and the German International University (GIU) made a significant impact at the Africa and Arab Collegiate Programming Contest (ACPC) held in Luxor, Egypt. Led by the esteemed Coach Prof Dr. Slim Abdennadher, our teams showcased unparalleled talent and resilience, leaving an enduring mark on the competition.

We are thrilled to announce that the GUC Team, led by contestants Yahia Sherif, Ibrahim Adel, and Adhm Mohammed, and coached by Prof. Dr. Slim Abdennadher, has not only secured the second spot in the Africa and Arab Collegiate Programming Competition (ACPC) but has also qualified for the prestigious ICPC in Kazakhstan in September 2024!

With four teams in contention and four onsite judges representing our institutions, the event served as a platform to showcase our unwavering spirit and collaborative prowess. As we reflect on the extraordinary memories forged during this journey, let us collectively celebrate the outstanding achievements of our teams.
