On Friday and Saturday March 10th -11th, 2023. Meetings were held for The Boards of Trustees of the German University in Cairo and the German International University in Sharm El-Sheikh, South Sinai Governorate. In the presence of a group of influential Egyptian and German academic and governmental personalities in the fields of higher education and scientific research developments and progress reports were discussed. The regular Board of Trustees meeting aim to ensure sustainable quality measures are applied as they continue to represent German higher education in Egypt and the region.
The participating delegations were welcomed by Prof. Dr. Ashraf Mansour, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the German University in Cairo and Co-Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the German International University , and Mr. Julius Georg Luy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the German International University. Prof. Dr. Yasser Higazy, President of the German University in Cairo, and Prof. Dr. Slim Abdennadher, President of the German International University along with members of the Board of Trustees of the two universities, were all highly impressed by the outcome of the branding Egypt initiative of GUC’s branding Egypt center. That extended to include airport and road signage and posters, urban redesign, transportation vehicles branding.

- Mr. Vito Cecere, Director of Research and Academic Policy, Federal Foreign Office- AA
The German delegation visited both campuses of German University in New Cairo and the German International University in the Administrative Capital during their visit. In GUC They have visited GUC’s Africa Tech Center, the GUC Egypt Branding Centre at the University, the Aratronics Laboratory, and the Student Projects Exhibition at the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Arts. Moreover, in the GIU they visited labs, the Fashion Design studios and GIU’s technology corridor.
