The  GUC’s team of the Egypt Identity Center conducted a field visit to the cities of “Sharm El-Sheikh, Nuweiba, Taba, Dahab, El-Tor, and St. Catherine”, where they met the heads of the cities who accompanied them in an inspection tour within the framework of the handing over the document of the right to use intellectual property rights for the visual identity of South Sinai Governorate.

In a ceremony which was held in May 2021, the GUC’s Chairman of the Board of Trustees Professor Dr. Ashraf Mansour handed over the Identity Document to South Sinai Governor  Major General Khaled Fouda in accordance with the cooperation protocol signed between the GUC and the governorate in 2020, which included designing a special visual identity for a number of its cities with a prominent global tourist feature.

The identity design will be circulated to all aspects such as official pages, government bodies, institutions, local and national projects,  ports and roads, banners, souvenirs, T-shirts, clothing and diving centers.

The GUC team implemented the visual identity of the aforementioned cities in accordance with the presidential mandate issued by President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to design and implement the visual identity in all Egyptian governorates under the supervision and bilateral coordination between the GUC and the Ministry of Defense in a precedent that is the first of its kind.

In support of this project, the Egyptian State has provided the necessary funding and the assistance of its officials to contribute to the fullest completion of the task within the framework of an integrated system that brought together governors and their relevant agencies and active members in the field of tourism and many other sectors.
