We are proud of the success of the German University in Cairo - GUC Microgravity "Solar Panel" experiment. The experiment was developed - in record time - by undergraduate Engineering students after the workshop given in the summer by GUC Graduate and 1st Egyptian Astronaut Akram Amin.

The experiment intended to test the correct deployment of the satellite solar panel after launch. During the "microgravity envelope", the panels deployment was stable with no sight of side forces or extra torques. Thus, the mechanism can be used for future small satellite designs.

This is the First Egyptian 🇪🇬 University experiment in the microgravity environment.
