The German University in Cairo (GUC) is pleased to host the 10th International Conference of Contemporary Affairs in Architecture and Urbanism (ICCAUA2027), taking place from 5–7 May 2027 in a hybrid format.
The conference is organized in international partnership with Istanbul Aydın University and Alanya University, Turkey, and CIAUD.UBI – Centre for Research in Architecture, Urbanism and Design at the University of Beira Interior (UBI), Portugal. The conference will be organized simultaneously across its partner institutions, creating an international platform for academic exchange and collaboration.
ICCAUA2027 welcomes contributions across a broad range of disciplines, including Architecture, Urban Design, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, and related interdisciplinary fields. Its main themes include Architecture and Technology; Sustainability and Urban Design; Heritage and Cultural Landscapes; Habitat Studies; Urban Economics; Salutogenic Architecture; Civil Engineering.
Researchers and professionals are invited to submit their contributions to ICCAUA2027. The abstract submission deadline is 5 December 2026. Submissions will undergo peer review, with selected papers also considered for further publication opportunities in partner journals and edited book chapters.
