Prof. Dr. Ibrahim El Dimeery, Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research at the German University in Cairo, announced that the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies and the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biotechnology celebrated the graduation of the first batch of students to receive a Clinical Pharmacy Diploma on the 24th of January, 2023 under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Soliman, Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Department at the German University in Cairo along with Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Azizi, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy.
At the ceremony, the graduates were honored and awarded their Diplomas. Prof. Dr. Ibrahim El Dimeery, Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research at the German University in Cairo added that the faculty continues its scientific research activities at all levels whether in supervising postgraduate students applying to receive scientific degrees in the University’s Faculties (PhD/ Masters/ Diploma). Moreover, the university will offer new diplomas such as a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Economics, Data Science and other diplomas that will be announced soon in the upcoming period.
As the university is always seeking to launch educational programs in accordance with the latest international market needs with the aim of improving the quality of scientific research and continuing education, it has became an urgent necessity to meet the needs of the local and international labor markets. Through such diplomas and qualifying programs.
The launch of the clinical pharmacy diploma comes in light of the rapid developments of the pharmaceutical business and in view of the labor market. When thinking about the future steps for graduates of the Faculty of Pharmacy, it is certain that obtaining this diploma contributes to qualifying them in their field to work in areas such as medicine development research targeted to discover drug efficacy, mechanisms of action and side effects.
