In an annual celebration, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Mansour, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the GUC along with the GUC President Prof. Yasser Hegazy, welcomed the parents and the newcomers who chose to join GUC as a milestone in their career.
Two consecutive orientation days were held on GUC premises:
• 1st day, Oct 6th : Faculties of Engineering ,Civil & Architecture programs
• 2nd day, Oct 7th : Faculties of Management Technology, Business Informatics, Pharmacy and Biotechnology, Applied Sciences & Arts & Law and Legal Studies
Prof. Dr. Ashraf Mansour said that the GUC enrolls Egypt’s highest achievers noting also that the German education is the best in Egypt, distinguished by its educational unity of teaching and scientific research during the undergraduate stage. The student can produce, innovate and publish scientific papers before graduating in scientific periodicals as well as participate in international conferences, which guarantees the graduation of a distinguished student at the highest level. In addition, the facilities provided of the top notch technological labs ensures practical knowledge that is up-to-date with the latest advancements of businesses and industries in Egypt and worldwide. Prof. Mansour referred to the visit of Dr. Norbert Röttgen the Head of the Foreign Relations Committee at the German Parliament during the GUC Graduation ceremony of Class 2019, who said: “The graduates of the German University have a great responsibility to create bridges of cooperation between Egypt and Germany and between Egypt, the region, Africa and Europe”.
The Chairman of the GUC Board of Trustees added that the certificates granted by the German University in Cairo represent 42% of the total certificates granted by Germany outside its borders worldwide.
Mansour also explained the education system at the GUC and its rules regarding attendance, availability of academic support, as well as the available services, including the presence of two centers for teaching German and English languages, in addition to the presence of the Students’ Career and Alumni Development office (SCAD) that is specialized in providing internship and job vacancies for students and graduates through holding job fairs to assist in recruitments.
