The workshop was instructed by Dr. Aya Maher, Associate Professor of HR and assisted by TA. Noran Abd El Azim, both from the Department of Management and Organization, Faculty of Management Technology.
Prof. Dr. Achim Seisreiner, Prof. of Management. at GUC-Berlin campus was invited to be the keynote speaker at the first day of the workshop and gave a speech on “Challenges of Remote Leaders” a topic related to consultancy firms leaders who would be managing different teams remotely.
Student Sarah Adel, Mgmt. major commented “I enjoyed Prof. Achim speech so much and enjoyed his sense of humor while recounting his consultancy experience.”
The objective of this workshop was to provide GUC students with the basic understanding and concepts of HR consultancy through practical hands on experience that will help them after graduation in their career to diagnose HR problems in their respective organizations and design an appropriate HR system, policies and procedures.
The workshop was tailored for GUC students from different majors and not only for Management students since in contemporary business nowadays, HR has become a universal subject required for all managers besides their technical expertise, which means any manager whether a pharmacist or an engineer must be knowledgeable with main HR practices (writing a job description, recruitment, selection, compensation, training and appraising performance) to be able to manage his people successfully.
