Placement Services Office

GUC Placement office provides service of highest standard for GUC undergraduate and graduate students. The responsibility of the placement services office is to help GUC students to determine career goals, identify and find appropriate employment in the fields of their specializations whereby they can progress in their development as individuals and as constructive members of society. In addition, the placement services office, in cooperation with the academic departments, will be responsible for offering training opportunities and scheduling internships for students during the study programs.

International Students Services

GUC is an international university that values and encourages its multicultural society as this creates a positive and enriching learning environment. International students can refer directly to the GUC International Student Office which is responsible for the international relations. The International Student Services Office will also be responsible for developing and managing the students exchange programs.

Students Counseling Services

The Students Counselling Services Office works effectively in cooperation with the academic advising, the placement office and all other facilities inside and outside the university that have to do with students concerns.

The students counselling at GUC provides a range of services including:

Counselling services for high school students regarding admission procedures and choice of areas of study

Assisting new entrants to make first steps at GUC including orientation programs

.:

Information about course offerings of the different faculties, different degree courses including the contents of the studies and the different options.

Until the completion of the construction works of the GUC Hostel, which will be located at GUC campus, GUC Accommodation Services Office assists the students to find comfortable and affordable accommodations within easy commuting distance from the University.

GUC provides medical service for all GUC community members. The medical service is run by the university doctor and nurses. They provide urgent medical treatment and advice during university hours.

GUC assists in transportation services for its students to and from main area centres in Cairo, where other transportation facilities are available, to provide students with an easy access to the university campus.

GUC welcomes applications from students with special needs and long-term medical conditions. Applications are assessed on the same academic bases as the rest of their colleagues.

Students with special needs are encouraged to visit GUC before applying, to view the facilities provided by the university and assess if their particular requirements can be met.

GUC believes in the importance of the extracurricular activities as a valuable part of the educational experience providing students with a golden opportunity to gain new skills, broaden their knowledge and become an active member of GUC community.

The students activities, such as music, theatre, excursions, painting, pottery, photographing, filming and writing, will run for the whole year even during vacations and will be organized through cultural groups.

GUC Cafeteria and Refectory on Campus offer hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and snacks. The refectory offers lunch and supper at reasonable prices. The refectory has also an important function as a General meeting place and information centre.
