| The delegation will also attend the meeting of the Board of Trustees, the meeting of the University Council, in addition to the academic & industrial meetings…etc., which will be held within the program framework of the delegation visit. | |||
| The Friends Group of the German University in Cairo will hold an extended meeting on Sunday 20.10.2002 at one of the 5-stars hotels in Cairo, which will be attended by Egyptian and German personalities and businessmen as well as a member of Statement and President of Egyptian Universities, in order to have an overview of the achievements realized and the developments taking place, particularly the academic aspects of the university project. | |||
| The delegation's agenda includes also for the first time a closed meeting with the biggest economy and industry people in Egypt in cooperation with the German-Arab Chamber of Industry & Commerce aiming towards correlating between the curricula, the fields of specializations and the scientific research work at the university in view of the contemporary problems of industry and its effects on the economic sides, with the aim of reaching solutions to these problems and to participate effectively in modernizing the industry and raising of the economy development activities. | |||

| 1- Teaching the modern and non-traditional scientific and
technological fields of specialization, such as information technology,
media technology, management technology, engineering & materials science,
pharmacy & biotechnology. 2- Qualifying the graduates with a very high standard of scientific and practical experience through the curricula prepared and approved in cooperation with the German patron universities and according to the international standards, as GUC will award the same academic degrees awarded by the German universities which are accredited locally and internationally. 3- Giving special attention to applied practice in teaching. The practical curricula represent 50% of the total study hours. Furthermore, field training will take place locally and abroad. 4- Taking care of the outstanding students and encouraging talent & high potentialities through granting scholarships. 5- Opening new channels of Egyptian-German cooperation in the fields of research, development, service as well as in the fields of study and training. 6- Offering various programs for community service fulfilling its needs in various fields through GUC, development and scientific research programs, in addition to other diverse training programs. |
