Last summer more than 400 GUC students started out to Germany in order to attend a German language summer course, carry out an internship, participate in a Summer School in Management or in a Study Trip taking them to universities and companies in various places.

The destinations included universities in Berlin, Braunschweig, Bremen, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt/Main, Gießen, Ingolstadt, München, Münster, Passau, Stuttgart, Ulm, Tübingen as well as Goethe Institutes in Bonn and Freiburg.

These trips were organized by the German Centre of the GUC with the support of the GUC faculties and the DAAD. Thanks to the sponsoring of the GUC and the DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst - German Academic Exchange Service) a remarkable number of the students traveling benefited from partial scholarships, with the top ten students of each year receiving a full scholarship.

Our exhibition tries to capture part of the impressions and information about Germany the students returned with. The photos make it obvious that they had a lot of fun and the texts present many interesting details of life in Germany – viewed through the Egyptian eyes– as well as information on the purposes of the trips.

It’s definitely worth thinking about going to Germany next summer!
