CIB Battle of Games Competition

The “Battle of Games” is a students’ competition organized by the Commercial International Bank – CIB, in cooperation with the Students Career & Alumni Development – SCAD – office at the GUC, the competition is exclusive for the GUC students. The objective of the competition is to develop a game mobile application (Android version) about the CIB, the games aim at familiarizing the clients with CIB products & services, mainly (Cards, Loans, and Digital Banking). During the 8 months of the games development, teams were mentored by Elhassan Makled (Teaching Assistant at the German University in Cairo) and CIB mentoring team, a total of 14 teams (joint from MET and Applied Arts) participated in the competition, and 5 of them were shortlisted to the finals. The winning teams are: (1) Fantastic Five (2) Art Work (3) Pixels (4) Five Bits…all team members received financial prizes in addition to certificates from the CIB. The Games should be available on the Play store for download soon. The closing ceremony was hosted at the GUC campus with the presence of Mr. Amr Othman – Head of Digital and Branches Marketing at CIB, Mr. Ahmed ElShafie – Head of Business Development, Mr. Sachin doss – Head of Cards Business at the CIB, Mr. Mahmoud Erfan – Assistant Marketing Manager at CIB, and Dr. Ahmed Wahby – Vice Dean at the faculty of Applied Arts at the GUC.
