VIP Visit from Heilbronn University

A VIP delegation from the Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences visited the German University’s campus on the 26th of February 2019. The delegation consisted of Prof. Dr. Ruth Fleuchaus, Vice-Rector International and Diversity and Professor in the Wine Business Administration degree program, Prof. Dr. Ing. Ansgar Meroth, Professor in the program automotive engineering systems and Prof. Dr. Lars Gaiser, Director of the Orient Institute for Intercultural Studies (OIS) and Professor of International Business. The delegation visited various facilities in the GUC campus such as the material Labs, MNR, Solar City, Industry Park (Triumph – DMG Mori ), Plastic Academy,  ARAtronics, Festo and Canon printing park. Their visit to GUC also included Engineering and Management faculties.

Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences ranks amongst the most prominent institutions of higher education in the State of Baden-Württemberg, where it caters for about 8,300 degree-seeking students on four campuses, namely Heilbronn – Sontheim, Heilbronn – Am Europaplatz, Künzelsau, and Schwäbisch Hall. It was first established at April 17, 1961, in Heilbronn.

Its diverse range of study programs includes Business Studies, Engineering and Information Technology. The university is providing a sound theoretical grounding while integrating vocational elements such as industrial placements or project work.

Over the last two decades, Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences has become a regional leader in technology-driven fundamental and applied research and has established its own Institute of Applied Research.
