The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation - the hub of Nobel laureates - at GUC

 Dr. Thomas Hesse, Deputy Secretary General of Alexander von Humboldt Foundation visited German University in Cairo to pursue further cooperation in the field of research and knowledge transfer between GUC as a bi-national German/Egyptian Education Institute and Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.  Alexander von Humboldt Foundation is a research foundation that was established by the government of the Federal Republic of Germany to promote international academic cooperation between excellent scientists and scholars from Germany and from all over the world.  The alumni network is comprising over 26,000 Humboldtians in more than 130 countries — including 50 Nobel laureates. Furthermore, it allows scientists and scholars from all over the world to visit Germany to work on a research projects

The foundation has a very good cooperation with the GUC for the last few years. Prof. Yasser Hegazy, GUC President, and different academic teams & research groups gave a comprehensive insight about GUC newly established research clusters, groups  and research labs to explore further cooperation possibilities.  Dr. Hesse visited GUC MNR Lab, ARAtronics Lab, and Solar City and had very productive talks with university officials for planning future cooperation plans.
