Schröder visits Egypt in October 2003 to attend the opening ceremony of the German University in Cairo

The German chancellor Gerhard Schröder accepted President Hosni Mubaraks invitation to visit Egypt to attend the opening ceremony of the German University in Cairo (GUC) on October 4th 2003.

The ceremony will be also attended by Mrs. Suzan Mubarak, H.E. Prime Minister Tuefel-Prime Minister of the State of Baden Wuertemberg and the German Ambassador in Cairo H.E. Ambassador Von Maltzahn in addition to a number of Egyptian &German ministers, EU & Arab Ambassadors as well as a number of VIPs from Egypt, Germany and the Arab countries.

During President Mubaraks visit to Germany, where the opening of the GUC was discussed, Mrs. Suzane Mubarak was honored and given a golden medal by the Berlin University for her efforts regarding the improvements towards the social situation in Egypt.
