In  Awards & Honors,

With an emotional and touching moment, Professor Ashraf Mansour - GUC Prime Founder and Chairman of its Board of Trustees - started his speech during the Graduation Ceremony 2012 that coincided with the GUC 10th Anniversary with a special honoring for recovered Abdel-Rahman Darwish, the GUC Student Union 2011 President, who had unfortunately undergone a serious accident last year just days prior to his actual graduation and could therefore not take part in the graduation ceremony of his class.

At that time, Prof. Mansour had expressed with big concern his sincerest wishes for a speedy recovery for Darwish and he announced during the Ceremony for Class 2011 that he would hopefully celebrate with him his recovery and graduation in the next Graduation Ceremony.

Accordingly, and as hoped for, Abdel-Rahman Darwish has gladly made it to this year’s Graduation Ceremony after completing his recovery and Prof. Mansour awarded him and his family with great joy the B.Sc. in Engineering Certificate on stage, in presence of the GUC President Prof. Abdel-Kader and His Excellency Michael Bock, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Egypt.
