Scholarships
GUC provides a balanced program for scholarships offered to talented students joining
the GUC in the first and the subsequent academic years on condition that scholarship
holders will maintain high level grades throughout their study at GUC.
Scholarships for new entrants
A number of full as well as partial scholarships are offered every year for the
best graduates of Al - Thanaweya Al - Amma and equivalent, where students will be
completely exempted from study fees during the whole study at GUC on condition of
maintaining satisfactory performance along their study period.
36.78% deduction in tuition fees for the next top 25% of students with highest scores.
23.37% deduction in tuition fees for the next best 50% of students admitted.

Scholarship Requirments
Students may be considered for partial or full scholarships starting winter semester
2008/2009 if they meet the following conditions:
- Submit an Admission Application, pass the Admission Tests, submit the High School
certificate results and pay the down payment before the deadlines announced for
each certificate type
- Students scoring excellent High School scores
without the High Level grades will be included in the scholarship ranking (partial or full
) provided that they comply with the year`s regulations for scholarship as well
as the year`s deadlines.
Scholarship Regulation
- The list of scholarships will be announced according to the certificate type
- Full or partial scholarships will be applied on tuition only. Students with full
or partial scholarships will have to pay the Admission Test fees, Lab insurance,
Transportation and Accommodation fees.
Top 10 Ranked Thanaweyya Amma Students in Egypt who receive full scholarship will
have exemptions from payments of:
- Tuition
- Accommodation based on availability/ Food (only applied for top Thanaweyya Amma
students who receive full scholarship and who live outside Cairo)
- Transportation
- Admission Test fees
- Lab insurance
Students receiving scholarships will maintain their scholarship so long as their
overall GPA is more than 3.00 (C)
Applied Sciences and Arts (Design Program) students will be eligible for Academic
Scholarships only after the evaluation and results of the winter 2009 semester where
the top ranked student(s) receive full or partial scholarships as per the university
regulations.
Scholarships for enrolled students
GUC offers scholarships for outstanding performance top ranked enrolled students
from each study module.
The number of the scholarship is determined by the rank of student, semester and
study module student belongs to.
Scholarships for sport achievements
GUC provides a scholarship program to distinguished sport achievements at international
levels.
