The Egyptian Secondary School Certificate Al- Thanaweyya Al-Amma
  Academic Credentials
  • Obtaining at least the minimum percentages set by GUC admission office for the same year of admission.

  Required Documents
  • Original Thanaweyya Amma Certificate or certified original “mostakhrag rasmi”
  • Original Birth Certificate
  • 6 passport size Photos.
  • Military Service Form (Namouzag 2 Gond), for Egyptian male students only
  • Original document of Arabic Language and Religion exams Thanaweya Amma level (for Arab Nationals).
  • All documents will be examined by the Egyptian Ministry of higher education\supreme council for private university, prior the final registration at the GUC.

The German Secondary School Certificate - Abitur (Zeugnis der Allgemeine Hochschulreife)
  Academic Credentials
  • Having acquired the qualifying subjects in Grade 11 and 12 according to the relevant study group at GUC.
  • For Abitur students graduated from Germany, subjects are taken from Grade 12 & 13, and some subjects can be counted from Grade 11 (Physics, Chemistry and/or Biology).
  • The total number of subjects to be calculated is 7 ( including the qualifying
    subject ).

  Required Documents
  • Abitur-Certificate stamped by the school, the German Embassy and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cairo.
  • Certified copies “beglaubigte Kopie” will not be considered as original certificates.
  • Abitur Zeugnis in any other language than English or Arabic should be translated into English or Arabic and stamped with the required stamps as mentioned above. (Both the original and the translation must be stamped).
  • Original document of Arabic Language and Religion exams Thanaweya Amma level (for Arab Nationals).
  • Original Birth Certificate
  • 6 passport size Photos.
  • Military Service Form (Namouzag 2 Gond), for Egyptian male students only
  • All documents will be examined by the Egyptian Ministry of higher education\supreme council for private university, prior the final registration at the GUC.

The British Secondary School Certificates (IGCSE, GCSE)
  Academic Credentials
  • Having passed at least 8 O-levels.
  • Maximum number of AL or ASL subjects to be calculated is: 2 ALs or 4 ASLs or 1AL+2ASL subjects.
  • Minimum O-level-Grade is "C"
  • Minimum AL or ASL Grade is "E"
  • AL or ASL Math is required to join the Engineering Group.
  • Accepted number of sittings is 5 (taken during not more than 3 successive years).
  • IGCSE OL subjects obtained from Arab countries should be of the extended, not of the core system

      Design Study Programs

  Required Documents
  • IGCSE-Slips stamped by the British Council as True Documents only (no other stamp can replace the British Council stamp) and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • IGSCE-Slips stamped by the British Council as copies of true documents will not be treated as originals and cannot be accepted.
  • Edadeya Certificate or proof of 12 years of schooling stamped by school and certified by the Educational Zone the school belongs to.
  • If the proof of 12 years of schooling is obtained from outside Egypt required stamps are: the school stamp, the stamp of the Educational Zone and the Egyptian embassy in that foreign country.
  • Original document of Arabic Language and Religion exams Thanaweya Amma level (for Arab Nationals).

The American High School Diploma
  Academic Credentials
  • Having successfully completed 8 different subjects
    • Subjects less than one credit are not accepted
    • Subjects as PE, music, yearbook, Religion, etc … are not counted.
  • Accepted students must have been studying at least the last 3 years (grade 10, 11 and 12) in the American system. Students who studied all their courses in one or two year/s only (grade 11 and /or 12) in the American system will not be accepted.
  • Subjects calculated should include the qualifying subjects relevant to the study group of choice at GUC.
  • Subjects can be calculated from Grade 12, 11 or 10. Minimum number of subjects to be calculated from G12 is 4, maximum number of subjects from G11 is 3, and to be completed accordingly from G 10 if needed and maximum number of subjects to be calculated from G10 is 2.
  • Old SAT I (2 parts exam) scores are not accepted.
  • New SAT I minimum Score is 1200/2400.
  • Students must also score a minimum of 50% in at least 2 parts of the new SAT 3-part exam.
  • SAT II is not one of the minimum requirements but gives the student extra bonus in the evaluation (minimum accepted score is 900 / 1600).
  • subjects to be taken in SAT II:
    • for the Engineering group: Math is a necessity + other subject.
    • for the Biological science group: Biology is a necessity + other subject
      Languages as French are not accepted in SATII.

  Required Documents
  • Final High School Transcript obtained from Egypt must be stamped from the school, the CITA (or relevant U.S. Accreditation Institution) and certified by the Egyptian cultural attaché in Washington.
  • Final High School Diploma obtained from Egypt must be stamped from the school, the CITA (or relevant U.S. Accreditation Institution) and certified by the Egyptian cultural attaché in Washington.
  • SAT Score(s) stamped by the AMIDEAST.
  • Edadeya Certificate or proof of 12 years of schooling stamped by school and certified by the Educational Zone the school belongs to.
  • If the proof of 12 years of schooling is obtained from outside Egypt required stamps are: the school stamp, the stamp of the Educational Zone and the Egyptian Embassy in that foreign country.
  • For American Diploma certificates obtained from any other country than Egypt and USA, an "Accreditation Letter of the school" from AMIDEAST Cairo (stamped by the AMIDEAST) is required.
  • Original document of Arabic Language and Religion exams Thanaweya Amma level (for Arab Nationals).
  • Original Birth Certificate

Thanaweyya Amma from Arab countries
  Academic Credentials
  • A scientific-oriented Thanaweyya Amma is required for studying in the Biological Sciences and in the Engineering Group.
  • A non-scientific-oriented Thanaweyya Amma graduate is eligible to study in the Management or Applied Sciences and Arts Group.
  • All Islamic subjects are not calculated during the evaluation of the final percentage.
  • Students obtaining their Thanaweyya Amma from Yemen must submit proof of 12 years of schooling.
  Qualifying Subjects
  • A scientific-oriented Thanaweyya Amma is required for studying in the Biological Sciences in the Engineering Group.
  • A non-scientific-oriented Thanaweyya Amma graduate is eligible to study in the Management or Applied Sciences and Arts Group.
  Required Documents
  • Original Thanaweyya Amma Certificate stamped by the Egyptian Embassy of the certificate’s country of origin. (No certified copies will be accepted).
  • Students applying with a Saudi Arabian Thanaweyya Amma must submit the original stamped certificates of Grade 11 and Grade 12.
  • Original Birth Certificate.
  • 6 passport size Photos.
  • Military Service Form (Namouzag 2 Gond), for Egyptian male students only
  • Students obtaining their Thanaweyya Amma from Yemen must submit proof of 12 years of schooling.
  • Original document of Arabic Language and Religion exams Thanaweya Amma level (for Arab Nationals).

International Baccalaureate
  Academic Credentials
  • Passing 6 subjects with a minimum of 3 taken in the High Level.
  • Passing Total Grade of 24
  • Passing the English Language is a must for acceptance.
  • Theory of knowledge, Extended Essay & Creativity are required.
  • Students must obtain the final graduation IB Diploma to be accepted.

  Required Documents
  • Final IB Transcript should be in English Language, endorsed by the authorities concerned in Switzerland – Genève and the Egyptian Embassy in Switzerland or the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Final IB Graduation Diploma should be in English Language, endorsed by the authorities concerned in Switzerland – Genève and the Egyptian Embassy in Switzerland or the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Edadeya Certificate or proof of 12 years of schooling stamped by school and certified by the Educational Zone the school belongs to.
  • If the proof of 12 years of schooling is obtained from outside Egypt required stamps are: the school stamp, the stamp of the Educational Zone and the Egyptian Embassy in that foreign country.

Canadian Certificate
  Academic Credentials
  • Accepted students must have been studying at least the last 3 years (grade 10, 11 and 12) in the Canadian system. Students who studied all their courses in one or two year/s only (grade 11 and /or 12) in the Canadian system will not be accepted.
  • Subjects can be calculated from Grade 12 & 11. Minimum number of subjects to be calculated from G12 is 5, maximum number of subjects from G11 is 3.
  • Subjects calculated should include the qualifying subjects relevant to the study group of choice at GUC.
  • Students must pass the SAT I exam if Diploma is obtained from Egypt ( minimum accepted score is 1200/2400).
  • Students must also score a minimum of 50% in at least 2 parts of the new SAT 3-part exam (if Diploma is obtained from Egypt).
  • SAT II is not one of the minimum requirements but gives the student extra bonus in the evaluation in case Diploma is obtained from Egypt. (minimum accepted score is 900 / 1600).
  • subjects to be taken in SAT II:
    • For the Engineering group: Math is a necessity + other subject.
    • For the Biological science group: Biology is a necessity + other subject.
    • Languages as French are not accepted in SATII.

  Academic Credentials
  • Obtaining at least the minimum percentages set by GUC admission office for the same year of admission.
  • Students accepted to apply only for Management or Applied Sciences and Arts group.
  Qualifying Subjects
Fulfilling all certificates’ requirements and obtaining the final certificate.
  Required Documents
  • Final FOS Transcript stamped by the school and certified by the German Embassy in Cairo and the Egyptian Ministry of Education.
  • Original Birth Certificate
  • 6 passport size Photos.
  • Military Service Form (Namouzag 2 Gond), for Egyptian male students only.
  • Arab Nationals will be awarded the graduation degree after passing and submitting the original document of Arabic Language and Religion exams Thanaweyya Amma level.
  • All documents will be examined by the Egyptian Ministry of higher education\supreme council for private university, prior the final registration at the GUC.
  • All documents issued from schools inside Egypt Must be stamped from Educational Zone – Ministry of Education

French Baccalaureate
  Academic Credentials
  • The number of subjects to be calculated is 7 courses.
  • A total score of minimum 10/20 is required .
  • 5 points will be added to each course in the evaluation as a bonus and final percentage will be calculated according to the student’s score in each course and the corresponding coefficient.

  • Final original “Baccalaureate General” stamped by the school and the Accreditation Institute (e.g. Academie de Lyon) and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cairo.
  • Edadeya Certificate or proof of 12 years of schooling stamped by school and certified by the Educational Zone the school belongs to.
  • French Brevet is accepted as a complete proof and must be stamped by the school and certified by the Educational Zone the school belongs to.
  • If the proof of 12 years of schooling is obtained from outside Egypt required stamps are: the school stamp, the stamp of the Educational Zone and the Egyptian Embassy in that foreign country.
  • Original Birth Certificate
  • 6 passport size Photos.
  • Military Service Form (Namouzag 2 Gond), for Egyptian male students only.
